Soup for takeout in the Danbury, CT area?

TrishUntrapped | Jan 5, 201103:05 PM

I love soup in cold weather. I make it quite a bit, but for variety I like to get takeout now and again from other spots. My favorite soups are beef and vegetable, beef and barley, and chicken noodle/vegetable... (Not including French Onion because I don't usually get that as takeout, but that is my all-time favorite soup.)

In Ridgefield where I work, the only good soup to go I have had (and I've tried quite a few) is from Millilo Farms on Bailey Avenue. They make it fresh every day and use good quality meat and veggies.

In Bethel, I like Plain Jane's. The chicken noodle soup has ditalini for the noodles, and a good quality fresh-tasting broth. The white bean and escarole soup is very good too even though I don't usually like beans in soup, but I make an exception for this one.

My very favorite takeout soups are at Soup Alley in Wilton. Since their main product is soup they had better make it good and they do. When the Country Beef Soup is available I get an extra container to take home for our dinner. It's also a fun and comfortable spot to eat in as well.

So I'm curious, anyone else know any good takeout soup spots in the area?
