Any of you chow hounds know of a good soup kitchen?
I was struck by the "bored with brunch" posting that perhaps some of this enthusiasm that we (I include myself) generate around food and stuff ought to include how we react to and work at feeding the poor and hungry. I once volunteered at "My Brothers table"-a soup kitchen in Lynn. For 4 years I cranked out meals for 300 or so 2-3 x month. Of course I did this along side fellow volunteers. I live in Cambridge now and would like to know what oportunities exist in Camb/Boston that involve feeding those that are not bored with brunch.
