Soul Food...Bliss (review)

MMM..Mm ! Just returned from dining on the most delicious, moist and beautifully spiced beef ribs I have ever consumed in Toronto. Words cannot express how good these ribs were, tender, falling off the bone tasted like they'd been marinating for hours and hours...amd what a marinade ...picked up tastes of clove, cinnamon, five-spice, ginger, some bay and scotch bonnet peppers....exquisite.

Oh yeah...The place is Soul Food on Landsdowne just north of Bloor (582 Landsdowne)..its in an odd spot about two blocks north of bloor on the west side of lansdowne.

I love this place. Went today, four of us - three veggies who went for the Jerk Tofu and me for da ribs..
The place is very laid back, great atmosphere and really friendly. The rice and peas were fine, the coleslaw a creamy delight...i have had their jerk chicken before and thought it good ..but the ribs are just divine..Oh yeah...its also dead cheap...4 people, four mains and 3 drinks 70 bucks with tip...

PS - The tasty freebie of Ripe mango drizzled with chocolate sauce was a nice touch as well..If you are a fan of DiPannos or Phils BBQ on College - try these ribs.
