soul food bakeries esp for red velvet cake

hello everyone...several months ago after a nice bowl of seafood gumbo at the gumbo shack on market in inglewood i stopped off at a bakery on that main blvd. (manchester?) that had one of the best red velvet slices ive ever had. now don't get me wrong, i haven't eaten many red velvet cakes in my life, and mostly i just eat cupcakes since they're smaller, but ive had the ones from doughboys and toast and this one just blew them all away. you should've seen me in the parking lot of the inglewood library eating this thing that was just so dang good i couldn't stop! people must've thought there was something wrong w/ me. anyway, i don't know the name of the place, but it's a very low key spot and i believe a slice was no more than $3 and was huge. i also recall there being something about red velvet cake written on the outside of the bakery. does anyone happen to know the name, or know of anywhere else to buy a nice slice like that? id so much rather give my $$ to a place like that then toast or doughboys, although id like to try susina's and a new bakery over by me in echo park called delilah's that has red velvet cupcakes and slices on their menu. thanks for any and all info!
