My husband and I have a 6:00 p.m. reservation at Babbo in mid November. Eating that early is not AT ALL appealing, however, we're from out of town, never been to Babbo and it's been at the top of our 'to do' food list for a while. The question is: do we forego our preferred time of 8:00 to 9:00 for dinner and eat at Babbo (and figure out something else to do in nyc that evening...we will already have been to a matinee), or eat elsewhere? Wondering if anyone could recommend a nice post dinner wine bar? Maybe we'd skip dessert at Babbo and have dessert elsewhere. We also have reservations at Scarpetta, Convivo and Il Buco. Would appreciate feedback and recommendations. Thanks.
P.S. If anyone travels upstate to Woodstock and is looking for a very, very good dinner,
