Sorella's in JP report

My gf and I went to Sorella's for the first time this morning, we went at 10:30 or so and there was no wait. Initially, we were very impressed by the menu, which seemed to have pretty much any type of omelette and any type of pancake/french toast we wanted. I had french toast made with blueberry bread. This was quite rich, since the blueberry bread was quite cakey and sweet. My girlfriend had an omelette with tons of things in it: shitake mushroom, tomato, black beans, goat cheese, pesto, arugula, avocado, sprouts. It actually ended up being too many things, and each bite was different. So a few bites were really good (the ones that combined avocado, cheese and pesto) but other bites were boring. This came with homefries which had no salt on them at all, and some rye toast (choices were wheat, white, rye) which was not too impressive. My coffee was good.

I think that the menu here is fun to read, but as I read on an internet review afterwards, it might be better to order simpler things, even if the complicated things are tempting. I am curious about the pumpkin pancakes though....has anyone had them?

Prices are quite reasonable at this place, I will definitely go back, but I will order more wisely
