Let me start out by saying that we REALLY wanted to love this place tucked away in Roslindale square. I reserved the cozy booth to the left of the kitchen...the atmosphere is beautiful! However, the food was diappointing. Started with fried calamari and a Caesar salad. The dipping sauce was a tangy, spicy red pepper aioli and was great...but the calamari coating was so salty that it ruined the dish. Likewise for the salad dressing...so salty (too much anchovy perhaps?) that it was virtually inedible. We almost left, but decided to split a pizza, one of their signature dishes (10"). We tried the 4 cheese with caramelized onions. Not sure what they added to the onions, possibly honey, but they had been sweetened.....something good caramelized onions should not require. It totally ruined them.
The tab for this small amount of poorly prepared food plus 2 glasses of wine was $38 before tip. Despite the lovely atmosphere, we will not return.
