It's on 37th Ave on the south end of town. It's been open since May. My wife and I went there last night for a wine/food dinner organized through Wine Berserkers. 10 of us with 11 or 12 bottles and we weren't charged corkage! Out the door with a very healthy tip (always the correct thing to do when corkage is comped) was $40/person. The food itself was $26/person.
There were many specials which the menu doesn't show. I had a terrific 3-meat/spinach canneloni with a really nice bechemel. Huge portion and it was all of $15. The pasta was a gossamer thin sheet. Pastas are made on the premises. Sandi's pappardelle Bolognese was also really good and that was $14. She took home a doggie bag. We also split an excellent beet salad that was $9. It was easily enough for 2.
Don't let the prices fool you, this place is the real deal. I'm still amazed at the quality.
We also ordered Antipasto Misto for the table.
The service was very good, too. They even use good quality wine glasses.
The owners/chefs are Sicilian and one of them had culinary training in Palermo and has cooked all over Italy. They also own Sapore in Burlingame.
We will definitely be back!
