On this week's soy custard run to Sogo, I picked up my own lunch plate, $5.99, this time. None of the female staff were around, unfortunately. The man scooped my servings, and as you can see below, he doesn't heap the food as generously. Also, he would only let go of one piece of dofu pi, not letting me pick it for two of my choices.

This time I chose well --- all good. Spicy wheat noodles instead of steamed rice, smoked pressed tofu with spicy pickled veggies and slim strips of a pork analog, the precious dofu pi, and a blend of fava and water beans. The water beans were new to me, giant-sized with a thin purple skin and a creamy white center. The texture was wet and juicy like a water chestnut but just a bit starchier.
