It's Saturday morning and it's still happening.
I'm paintin' the house so I needed some hardware stuff this morning. Driving down Frankin Blvd I was going by the Esparanso Bakery, brakes squeal, hard right, a few pineapple popovers and a couple of custard things later I continue, do the hardware store busness, resist stopping at Morant's, and think why not hit Taylor's Market on the way home and see if they have some sand dabs like they did last time I was there and that would be dinner. No sand dabs but they did have just in soft shell crabs. They arrived this morning, from the Chesapeake Bay, on ice. Not dry ice but regular ice and these baby's are still kicking!!! They're alive!!! They're $8.00 each, not cheap, but I've bought them on the net, flown in, and this is a good deal. Two are usually enough unless you're a big eater. They have the coleslaw. All I need are some fries and a sauce or two and I'm happy, happy, happy.
If you like soft shell crabs this is the best deal in town.
