Here in NYC, I used to get these wonderful large, soft gingerbread cookies from either Balducci's or Grace's (I can't remember which it's been that long).
They were very soft, kind of gooey almost in texture and melted in your mouth. All the gingerbread recipes I've found make a harder cookie - like one used for gingerbread people. I'm looking for the consistancy of chewy chocolate chip batter.
If anyone knows where I can get a recipe I'd appreciate it!
