Just had dinner at newly opened Joley at the Astor Hotel in South Beach. A wonderful fine dining experience bringing together terrific food, great ambience, and excellent service. Most of the table endulged in a six course degustation menu that brought together many of the items available a la carte and may (or may not) be offered on certain nights. The chef's impressive background was featured in every dish and we were fortunate to dine on an evening that Chef John Suley had just received fresh truffle. My favorites, a savory chestnut soup with bacon, spinella of beef that was perfectly tender, and a tuna tartare. Finally, the outdoor terrace table with water fall and excellent, yet unobtrusive, service made it a great exeperice. A great refined addition to the Miami restaurant scene.
