Snow-Line Orchard & Winery | Oak Glen - San Bernardino County

Melanie Wong | Sep 20, 201912:42 AM

Apple season is back in the mile-high orchards of Oak Glen. I confess to being completely unaware of this growing area until a friend clued me in last year. On November 1 on my way to Palm Springs, we met for a visit to Snow Line Orchard & Winery.

Of the many apple growers in the area, I picked Snow-Line because it offers hot apple cider donuts, fried to order. I was not disappointed in the mini-donuts. We tasted through the wines (none that I would recommend), the three freshly pressed apple ciders, and a couple shots of hard cider. Plus an apple tasting with my favorite being "Pinova", related to orange Pippins.

Still suffering from impaired pulmonary function at the time, I had to cut my visit short to return to lower elevations. I did enjoy the fall colors and my brief visit to the area.
