Anyone own a SNAPI?

It's this, used to serve salads, pasta, veggies....

How did I miss this product? I think it would make life around the trough so much easier for the GrandPups. As it stands now they either ask for help or we end up with food strewn all over the counters.

REVIEW - I've been living with a SNAPI for a few weeks now and it does exactly what I hoped it would. First, the GrandPups love it, so that's worth $6 right there. They're still strewing salad left and right, but now they're having fun doing it. The only one who grasped (punned you!) the concept and how to hold it was the non-athletic (don't tell him that) 13-yr-old. The middle 2 boys, 11 and 10, a footballer and swimmer, both with great agility, and their 6-yr-old kid brother, were completely mystified and even after repeatedly showing it to them are still quite clumsy with it. But they have trouble holding a taco, something I seem to have been born knowing how to do, despite not eating one until the age of 16. They're not mine, I swear. Gypsies left them. Still, hope springs. If your children can hold forks, they should be able to use a SNAPI.

I like it for other reasons, too. First, it will grab a boatload (or as we call it, a single serving) of pasta at a time. No more pasta strands raining down as you try to quickly move them to a serving bowl, trailing sauce all over your counters. Grab pasta, hold over plate, release. Done. 

Second, it's the bomb for tossing salads without allowing heavy things like olives, fruit and cheese cubes to sink to the bottom of the bowl. That's always been a thing with me. 

We haven't had occasion to try it for other things like nuts or candy, but I really don't see the point with those. It's too big to be useful in that context. Maybe for self-serve popcorn? Oh, yeah, THAT's a good thought. The GrandPups always want more, and insist of grabbing it with their grubby little paws. I swear, they were raised by wolves. 

The SNAPI has no metal hinge, it is all silicone, and cleans up easily. So far, I've only had to rinse it to get it clean. It dries quickly, too. It clips closed for storage. Quality is good. So it has limited uses, but for the low price, it's worth it, at least to me.
