Smoothies masquerading as health food?

I was flipping through the "nutrition facts" binder at a local smoothie purveyor, and noticed that one of their smoothies had 1200 calories and 30 grams of fat. Granted, this one contained peanut butter (hence the fat), but even the fruit based ones had upwards of 700 calories. Holy smokes-- that's not a beverage... that's a full MEAL. Anyways, what I want to know is if a smoothie is really nutritious enough to justify the 700 calories, or if it's just a really expensive Slurpee...
