Smooth Sauces without Tomato and others

Having recently gotten into making Shakshuka and other homemade inspired dishes (albeit with Passata e.g. sieved uncooked tomatoes here in the UK), what smooth sauces can be used to make other simplified Shakshuka-inspired dishes in a frying pan / skillet in place of Tomato Passata Sauce?

It is not because of disliking Tomato, just that I do not want to get sick of making such dishes and want to add a bit of variety on the Sauce front though Dairy, Shrimp, Oyster and Soya based sauces are out of the question.

Curry Sauces and Satay (albeit without Soya) are a few ideas that immediately spring to mind though in the case of the former, am not sure which Curry Sauce varieties are smooth like the Tomato Passata.
