I'll be firing up the smoker next Sunday. I will have a couple of open shelves and would like to make smoked salt. Is it as simple as spreading salt on a jelly roll pan and exposing it to smoke for a few hours? Will be doing this on the top shelf to avoid the Pork fat drippings (First time I've ever avoided pork fat drippings BTW). Has anyone had success with smoking salts?
