Smile Cafe

first off, thanks to all the CH'ers who responded to my queries on Thai and/or sushi restaurants.

Had a wonderful time in your great city Friday nite. Ryan Adams show was terrific; it was a beautiful December evening with the city holiday lites making it very festive.

Dined at the Smile Cafe and it was very decent Thai - and you locals should not hesitate to try it or recommend it, should someone be in Center City. I will definitely revisit again to try out some other dishes.

The Shrimp cocoanut soup had wonderful flavors - wish there was a bowl in front of me as I now write.. I had the seafood with lemongrass & chili paste with a friend having the same soup and the Spicy Noodle dish. The only thing that was slightly a bit off was the dipping sauce (a sweet soy vinegar - just didn't have the right mix of ingredients - too heavy a pour of the
soy) for our shrimp dumpling appetizer.

Reasonably priced and a byob. Good deal, good food.
