Small villages in Southeast Spain

Ellen and Jeremy | Jul 5, 2000 10:04 AM

We're going to be housesitting in the very small village (300 people) of Gorga in Southeast Spain this August. A nearby town is Alcoy, and then further south on the coast, Alicante. Any suggestions for local food shopping, restaurants, and places of interest would be welcome. We'll be staying in Madrid near the old city for a few days and have been following recent posts with great interest - it's going to be difficult to choose what to do and where to eat in the limited time we have. Any absolute musts?
