Small Phoenix Italian Spot (shhhh)

Giuseppe's on Indian School at about 28th Street is a small, casual BYOB Italian spot with a great kitchen. The chalkboard menu has lists of various sauces that can be combined with your choice of pasta type, appetizers and daily specials that are noteworthy for their quality. It is not an overly ambitious offering but what they do, they do well.

The owner is from Florence, (Italy, not Arizona) and knows his stuff. We were taken there shortly after returning from three weeks in Tuscany. My husband paid the highest compliment when he said, "This tastes like we're in Italy".

The decor is nothing to write about, clean & bright, but happily the energy has been better spent in the kitchen -- where it counts!
