I recently acquired a slow cooker--it came free when I bought a new coffee maker on Amazon--and I really don't know what to do with it. They say it's good for sauces and stews, but since I thought my pots already did a pretty good job with those, I'm at a loss.
What kind of food is better/easier in slow cooker? And what's the difference between a slow cooker and a crockpot, anyway?
I see that Amazon is not giving these things away anymore, but charging a big $7.99 for them instead, in case anyone's interested.
