Non-Slimy Okra

leiden | Oct 17, 201104:25 PM

I am sure most of the people experienced intentional or unintentional sliminess. This is a quick fix or you. In Turkey okra is cooked over large periods of time. It is a stew with tomatoes, onions, garlic, olive oil and with or without meat. This is only possible if you add some kind of acid inside and not cut the stem of the okra. You should just shave it and keep it intact. The acid component is usually a lemon squeeze or unripe grapes(koruk) in Turkey.
