Slight scratches on demeyere pan from Sur La Table

jgg13 | Dec 27, 201412:17 PM     17

Bought an Industry5 from SLT today, the box had clearly been opened and taped shut. I inquired and she said that they probably just took it out to show someone and that it'd never been on the floor.

Even though I should have inspected it there I bought it and took it home and there are a handful of slight scratches on the inside surface, and a small but slightly deeper gouge on the inside. Are these normal for new pans or should one expect it to be perfect?

These are not the sort of things which would normally bother me but considering that slight imperfections usually come w/ a steep discount and the price of the pan, I don't want to get jobbed.
