Going to law school in the Tenderloin leaves no chance to eat pizza. Or so I thought.
On Hyde near Market is a little place called Gyro King that makes a medicore kebabs and gyros. Ironicly, they have something called meat pizza--which approximates excellent NY pizza. It is basicly a razor thin rectangle of dough strewn with a light layer of ground beef, oregono, and tomatoes. The absence of overwhelming cheese, light sause, and thin springy crust make it one of the closest things to Brooklyn pizza ive had since living in San Fran. It is 3.95 for a giant slice, with a small salad.
