Didn't get much reponse from my first post, so thought I'd ask one last time what are the best dishes at Slanted Door.
Was already recommended the cellophane noodle with crab and pork chop.
I'm curious about the following dishes, and wonder if any of y'all have tried:
~ Japanese yellowtail with fried shallot and thai basil
~ Grilled Australian free-range lamb rack with crispy potatoes and tamarind sauce
~ Spicy Monterey squid with pineapple, sweet red peppers, peron chilies and thai basil
~ Niman Ranch bavette with Mariquita Farm baby leeks, ginger and red chilies
~ Braised duck legs wih smoked ham, bamboo shoots, shiitake mushrooms and chinese dates
~ Caramelized plantation shrimp with onions and chili paste
~ Wood oven roasted whole fish with spicy ginger fish sauce
There are a lot of intriguing dishes. I'm generally more interested in trying their seafood, but my girlfriend will be with us and she prefers non-seafood dishes, especially duck or beef.
