I am looking at purchasing a stainless steel sauté pan, and to be honest I have never used one in my cooking history. Firstly what do you use yours to cook? I am thinking of using mine to brown some chicken breasts and then making a pan sauce and then let it simmer away. Or to add already cooked pasta and make a carbonara etc or perhaps a beef stroganoff.
I am planning on using it to cook for mostly two people but up to four. Would a 2,6qt (9,4”) be adequate or would a 4,2qt (11”) pan be better?
