Size of Pickling Spice tin container from late 1960's-early 1970's

My Aunt wrote a recipe around 1970 which calls to use one "small size" of Pickling Spices. I assume she was referring to "McCormick" brand, but I'm not sure. It would have been whatever was the common brand of spices available in the Los Angeles Area in grocery stores (Ralph's, Safeway). There seems to be only one size available now, 42 grams. The current packaging is in a plastic container. I think the pickling spices were available in a "tin" container at that time? If anyone knows what the net weight of the small size of pickling spices were from around 1970, please let me know. Thank you for your help.
