Does anybody remember the yummy rice pudding that they use to have when you got off of the subway and entered the downtown Simpson's store?
Creamy smooth, a nice "skin" on the top (not sure what the correct term would be) and, if I am not mistaken, I think there were raisons in there as well.
I have never had another rice pudding like it. It was delicious and one of my mother bringing it home from her trips to Simpsons is one of my favourite childhood memories!
Chowhounders help me out! Please give me your memories of the Simpson's basement rice pudding and let me know where or where in Toronto I can find a "suitable replacement" for it as rice pudding. like many other things, is just not the same as I remember it.
Any tips on where the City's best rice pudding resides?
