Help me make a simple/tasty MEZCAL cocktail!

Hi! I love ordering mezcal cocktails at bars and finally brought a bottle home for myself. All I have are lemons, limes, honey, all types of sugar, several knobs of ginger, lots of spices, and cilantro. Also have bourbon, gin, Campari, and vermouth. Usually this mix is fine for the gin & bourbon cocktails I whip up quickly, but can't find a nice, simple citrus-based recipe online that doesn't include a million weird ingredients. I had a rough day at work and just want a mezcal cocktail with my striped bass tonight.

What do you think? I'm not great at cocktailing; my bf is the real cocktail expert while I usually handle the food.

Side note - my favorite mezcal drink ever was called the Smoky Cholula from a bar in my hometown. I believe it had guava juice and lemon but I can't remember what else. When I used to order it they would say, "are you sure you want that? everyone hates that cocktail, it's so smokey!" I went back to the bar a few years after my Smokey Cholula heydays and they said they changed the recipe because it was so smokey that people hated it. Luckily they were able to make the old version for me.
