My husband and I are going to host friends before the office Christmas shebang (which is really quite the gala). The office party will have a nice array of food so I don't need much. But I do want to have a festive cocktail or two to pour and a couple snacks to sop that up. I was thinking along the lines of a seasoned nut mix, a cheese/cheese spread or two with crackers and maybe some fruit, and possibly a dip (maybe white bean hummus or something of the sort) with dippers. I want to keep it very simple as I, too, will be getting ready for the party. Any ideas?
