in a nutshell --- great food, great service, nice people, go while you can get in. appetizers --- stuffed french toast (yes, it is dinner), porcini mushrooms, fried calamari. entrees --- really good hanger steak, striped bass, halibut. only had granita for dessert, we were stuffed. the wine list is excellent, but they are offering options of sips, tastings, and bottomless glasses. the space is a bit formal for my taste, and i really did not need to hear about my waiter's allergy to flour, but those are my only criticisms. a definite plus in murray hill, where stylish good restaurants are, alas, still few and far between.
