Silver plating cookware

ceasar2k6 | Jul 11, 202002:12 PM

I found a person who will nickel plate locally, but I didn't go through with it, so I don't know how that will look. But, I did find a very cool sauce pot that I'd like to get either nickel plated or silver plated. Nickel I am fairly confident is being more durable, etc, but I am not sure if it'll hold the value as good as silver plated one. I would imagine that silver plating is durable enough? worst case still 3-4x better than Tin.

Has anyone done any post purchase silver plating? And, if so, how did it turn out and overall are you happy with it? Would you do it again? And finally, who did it for you?:)
