I think that I saw another post for Silver House, but I wanted to say that this is a great place for good, cheap Chinese food that is not like Chinese fast food places like Mr.Chow's.
We went there on Wed with some friends, and Silver House has a 2 menu lists of dishes - 1 is 3 dishes for $15, the other is 4 dishes for $28 - Since this is a seafood restaurant - the list includes prawns, oysters, fish, as well as tofu, pork, chicken. The four of us chose 4 dishes, and it includes a daily soup (good flavor) and rice.
1)salt & pepper pork ribs - they use fried garlic too, which we were fighting over to put over our rice,
2)Steamed tofu with dried scallop - they used blocks of soft tofu and put a sauce of shitake mushrooms and some shredded dry scallops,
3)Ground pork with egg (pancake), since their daughter loves that dish; it was pretty good, not as good as when my mom makes it, but still decent.
4)Clams with Black Bean Sauce - pretty good too, plenty of clams
For Cantonese food, this is good, and for the price, it's cheaper for me to get takeout than to go to the store and buy the groceries and cook it!
