So I have picked up a few of these Oneida silicone coated utensils. They are really nice because the turners are thin with thin edges, flexible, but with metal inside which makes them a little stronger. Recently picked up the spoon, which is nice because it's deep and thinner edges, too. But it's not so great, because I don't feel like I can tap the side of the handle on the pot, because it's metal! No, didn't think that one, through.
I have tried looking through Amazon for something like this, but with the silicone extended up the handle but not having much luck because most of the silicone I've seen seems to be thicker and thicker edged, or the spoons not so deep or chunky. These are like metal utensils with just the silicone coating. Has anyone seen anything like this but with the silicone coating the whole handle? Or does anyone have any ideas on how or what to protect the edge beside me tapping close to the spoon head on the silicone part (which is awkward)? I almost wish I could put a coating on the handle myself! I really like them.
