Looking for a "signature" crabcake

Denise M | May 27, 2004 07:40 PM

Crabcake season is upon us. Is anyone else on the hunt for the BEST crabcake in Maryland? If so, would you share your best-so-far find?

I am looking for a crabcake that is technically good - lump and/or backfin, just enough filler to hold it together, well seasoned, cooked to perfection (grilled or fried - I don't care), moist, not dry, and then, a signature.

By signature, I mean something that sets it apart, like the crab mustard taste of G&M's cakes before they went downhill, or the Steamboat Landing (Galesville) bombe that the previous management of that restaurant served.

Faidley's cakes never disappoint me, but I would also like to find a full service restaurant that has high quality and a unique signature.
