I always enjoy it when a reviewer shares my views of a hidden gem. So I am savoring Sietsema's positive views of the $1 sushi at Kotobuki on MacArthur Blvd. I agree with him that "the fish here is of very good quality" and "looks well cared for and smells ocean-clean." The Post will print the review on Sunday, but it is already available on-line.
I have always been tempted to keep Kotobuki as my own personal take-out sushi secret, but I want it to stay in business. I was reduced to stale refrigerator-case shushi from WholeFoods when its predecessor went out of business.
