I was at the B-side last friday and since a friend insisted on ordering fries, I just HAD to go along. Holy cow. These were among the best fries I've had in Boston, maybe ever. A really enormous mound of them on a plate -- about 5-6 inches high. Thin, some curly, some straight, all perfectly browned and salty. Through some hot oil voodoo, the fries at the bottom of the stack were as crispy as those at the top. These were the kind of fries that made me remember how good a simple food can be if it's done extremely well.
We also got a pear/arugula/walnut salad, which was nice, and some zucchini-squash fritters, which I had expected to be more latke-like, but turned out more like large savory munchkins. They were odd but good, and another testament to the excellent frying that they're doing at the B-side these days.
