Another side for my Chanukah dinner?

We are having braised duck( this is braised without liquid) and potato and cabbage latkes cooked in duck fat with applesauce and sour cream on the side.
I would like to serve something else to cut all this richness. Maybe salad with a citrus dressing? Or some bitter greens, cooked or raw?
Any thoughts? We like most veg but not fennel.
