Sick of Starr Restaurants- Pod this time

Chico | Mar 21, 2003 06:55 PM

Went to pod last night and for the first time in a while did NOT sit at the sushi bar.

I cannot handle the the cookie cutter bad service

Similar Schpeil "Is this your first time visiting us? Pod encourages sharing and all our dishes come out when they are ready and are served family style." Get over it guys, coordinate your servers and your kitchen, and if you want to serve family style serve it! For the high prices don't just drop it on the table unless you want a 10% tip, since I did half the serving. Also, if you want to serve family style, serve italian or chinese food and have a lazy susan in the middle.

This is extra difficult for business meals- they will not even let you order what you want.

Best starr service gaffe: One night at Buddakan when we all tried to order tuna tartare, the server kept telling us that we should try other things. Finally she came back and told us that sorry, there were only two orders of tuna tartare left. Later in the meal we saw everyone around us getting order. Give me a break.

Starr doesn't know a thing about food and it shows. He definitely doesn't deserve my $100/head and not even my slightest recommendation. There are too many restaurants in Philly that deserve repeat business.

Would love to hear your own (no)starr stories.
