Does anyone have a source for high quality sichuan peppercorns?Thanks to Chowhound posts I discovered the ban has been lifted on imports for Sichaun peppercorns but those I found in Chinatown don't offer anything like the sensory experience of those I experience at GI Szechuan on 24th & 9th. I brought my purchases into the rest. and they examined my purchase and said--"not good" but couldn't offer more than that. I have tried rehydrating and oil roasting the peppercorns I find in the markets but to no avail. Thank you for any help!
