Sichuan Gourmet, Framingham, I will not be back

I know people rave about this place, but I am not one of them. In fact, I will never go back again. I've eaten from there twice already (I got take out) and both times elements of the meal were subpar

Meal #1
Pu-Pu Platter: Chicken Wings must have been the cheapest chicken wings they could find with minimal meat on them. The Boneless Spare Ribs were extremely fatty.

Beef Lo Mein: Nothing memorable or forgettable; you'll get this exact same dish at any Chinese restaurant.

I figured that maybe the kitchen is having an off day, so I tried them again.

Meal #2
The smoking five flavored BBQ spare ribs, this is what turned me off about the place. This appetizer consists of unsauced cut up bone-in spare ribs with an overly salty and smoky flavor. How bad were they? They were repeating on me into the early AM hours; I was wishing for some hot tar to lick just to get the taste out of my mouth. To add insult to injury, they charge $8.00 for what amounts to, IMO, only two ribs if the pieces were reassembled; I'm not cheap, but the mechanics of this appetizer screams scam to me.

The Sesame Chicken was just not good. We wound up feeding the significant amount of left overs to the garbage disposal.

The only saving grace were the batter dipped jumbo shrimp appetizer, the crab Rangoon appetizer (which is a bit on the sweet side), and the house special fried rice.

I wish I could come come up with a closing sentence, but I'll let my experience stand on its own.
