Shrewsbury Ave. Many Questions!!!!

Herm | Jan 24, 2008 09:16 PM

I know there is tons of knowledge on this board so here's my story/questions. Lunchtime today, around 1:30 Pm, I'm hungry and I'm in the vicinity of Far East Taste. I'm Thinking of Pad Thai, nah, I'm too hungry, and I don't want to wait to eat. So here come the questions:: 1st. C.J Montana's - is C.J. Montana the owner or chef? Or is this a restaurant that is trying to be the junmp off point for a 'concept' or 'chain?
2nd. Mumford's - Love the sandwiches, has anyone ever attended ant of the cooking classes?
3rd. Asporto Cafe - Neon signs say Italian Food on one side and Mexican food on another????
4th. Two If By Sea - Haven't gone in in a long time, but the sign out front said 'coming soon Sienna Grill' - could be wrong about the actual spelling.
5th. La Chalupa (rip) - so far I haven't heard anything promising aboutSenor Peppers, and I'm too bummed to take on for the team. I already miss my much beloved Mexican Sandwich, and it still may be on the menu!!!!!
6th. I decide on lunch. G & G hot dog wagon (Gus' hot dog truck) right where Shrewsbury Ave. Crosses the Railroad tracks in Red Bank. I had 2 with kraut and KETCHUP (ketchup and proud!), and one with chili. The sausage sandwich looked so good as it walked by that I thought I would try it next time. Nope I tried it today - very good, topped with peppers, onions & sauce. Of course I couldn't finish it, but next time as much as I like Gus' dogs, it's 2 sausage sandwiches for me.
