I'm new to the site and have read so many discussions over the last few days about cookware. It's been helpful and there is definitely a theme with popular and well-loved brands and types, but it's also confusing and overwhelming. My goal in the next couple of months is to replace all my cookware. As much as I cook for myself and my family, I'm embarrassed with the chipped and low quality cookware I own, and I'm old enough now to make an investment. I would like your help picking out pieces that are customized to my needs.

What I own: I have a 12" Anolon non-stick pan that gets the most use. It is no longer non-stick though. I need to replace this for sure and hoping that to be my first piece. I wish it had a lid. I also own the Cuisinart MCP-12 MultiClad Pro Cookware Set 12pc which I purchased about 6 years ago. They are okay to use, but sometimes I'm not patient and don't pre-heat enough and things stick, which is frustrating. I still have to do the water test each time I use it. I like the sauce pans for making rice or quinoa and the larger pot for making soups and boiling things. Other than other appliances like the crock pot and Instant Pot, that is pretty much all I own (bowing my head in shame).

What I like to cook: Hubby and I are on the Whole 30, so right now, we eat a lot of eggs (over easy or sunny side up most times, but also scrambled, poached, etc). Otherwise, I cook a variety from pasta sauce, casseroles, soups, steaks, etc. I cook 6 days a week (7 right now due to the Whole 30), but we hardly eat out. We like a variety, so I spend a lot of time cooking, cooking dinner, then cooking lunch for the next day we can pack for lunch, sometimes even 2 dinners if I have to make my girls something (they are 7 and 9 and quite picky).

So my question to you is, what size, pieces and brands would you recommend? What do you consider must have pieces and what are nice to have? Thank you in advance.
