On Thursday the 9th, 8 of Chowhounds landed at Shiney's Sweets and Restaurant at 4231 Markham St. in Annandale in the strip mall known as Seoul Plaza. Shiney's has an eat all you can buffet for $ 6.95 We chose to order from the mento sample a variety dishes that were not a part of the buffet.

We started out with light snacks listed on the menu, Dahi Bhala the lentil dumplings soaked in yoghurt and surrounded by chickpeas, vegetable samosas, deep fried turnovers stuffed with potatoes but not as flaky as should have been Onion as well as green pepper Pakoras and Chat Papri a melange of chopped vegetables. All this came along with 2 chutneys, ayoghurt based peppery green chutney and a tamarind based sweet chutney.

As entrees we ordered Goat Karahi, pieces of meat cooked in tomotoes and onion and served in awok; Nihari a bveef dish with thin gravy; and cauliflower and potato curry. They were accompanied with lot of rotis, the wholewheat bread baked in tandoor oven. We topped this lunch with a plamixed sweets which included a variety of Burfi and Halwas. With this sariety of sumptuous sampling the total with tax and tip came to $ 9 per person.
