Shima Sushi

Ken Hoffman | Sep 29, 2005 01:01 PM

Shima (island in Japanese) Sushi is a nice find, set in the middle of an anonymous strip mall (albeit new and shiny) on the southwestern edges of San Jose. The room is run by such pleasant people who are eager to serve you and make your experience enjoyable. The fish was fresh and velvety (sake, maguro, unagi, shiromaguro) and the Dragon roll was meticulously constucted with soft pieces of unagi, fresh crab and tempura shrimp that disintegrated with the first bite into a hundred warm and wonderful flavors. Warm, salted edemame were on the house. Will happily go back.
