My favorite places are those that either masquerade as something else, or change-over to something else in the evening, or are just, for one reason or another, not on the map.
The recent posting about Solomon on Benefit Street seemed to fit that bill perfectly. I went there last night and got kim chee beef stir fry. It was a great find, but it appeared to me that it's a korean restaurant all the time, and not as I suspected, a market during day and a restaurant at night.
Does anybody have any other examples of these kinds of places. I realize that by sharing them, we risk diminishing their "specialness" but if you're willing to divulge, I'm ready to go...
