Thanks for the replies on the xian food. ^_^ Reading all these thread about xiao long bao however, has got me craving for the bao that I personally love even more: sheng jian bao. Does that Shanghai restaurant in Oakland I keep hearing about serve good sheng jian bao?
There was one place in Rowland Heights (in LA) that had the best sheng jian bao ever. They were so juicy inside, that the juice would squirt all over you if you weren't careful. ::eyes glaze over while salivating:: yummmm.
