went there this saturday after the GR2 opening. thought it was okay. it is to hot pot what din tai fung is to xiao long bao. a little too "clean tasting" or watered dowdn. the broth tasted heavy on msg and the hot side was barely spicy. i gotta try deerfield garden next time. the green scallion pancakes were good though.
anyone ever eaten mala huo guo in sichuan? where they have the hard white disc of oil/fat that melts into the soup, and then each individual item is skewered and costs only a couple mao? that shit is crazy!
or the bald head spicy crab???? whew! shit fire for weeks after that one!
