If you like your shawarma or felafel with your choice of a varity of toppings, then Shawarma Express just may be the place for you. And if you like to see a gorgeous looking pile of thick lamb or chicken slices revolving around a spit, this place should really hit the spot. i got a lamb shawarma on a large thin 'tortilla' with hummos, garlic sauce, onions with sumac, red cabbage, sliced carrot, chopped cucumber, tahini and hot sauce all rolled into a shawarma burrito. I probalby got too messy a sandwich, but I will go back next time to get a sandwich that will let the flavor of the lamb shine through better.
There is also the choice of getting the shawarma and toppings.inside a thicker pocket bread.
I was impressed with the effort here, and this is a place that would be good to check out.
I've been back twice now. First for the lamb and foregoing the hummus and tahini. It really was even better using a 'less is more' strategy.
The next time I went for the chicken shawarma, and I think I like it even better. Goes really well with the garlic sauce and the whole thing comes together beautifully.
This place is a keeper.
