Sharis Berries- Any good???

Question

Just received a package of Shari's Berries- 6 dipped strawberries. Dipped in chocolate, coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, etc. They look good. Has anyone had them? I got them as a gift, and prpbably won't try them until this weekend, but am curious if they will be as good as they look. They are really big!!!!

They're okay. Big, beautiful berries, but big is not necessarily better. They can be pithy and it's not exactly strawberry season in this part of the world. I lived in Sacramento, CA where Shari's Berries originated and have my fill of them.

Any strawberry you get this time of year will be a sad substitute for summer berries. They come off of everbeareing plants, and none of those varieties are very good. They are woody, pithy, hard, and tasteless.

A former employer of mine brought in a whole bunch of Shari's Berries for my going away party a few weeks ago. I thought these dipped strawberries tasted fantastic.

Best to eat them right away Macca as they don't keep well past a few days.

I bet most of their strawberries come from California this time of year.

The simple answer is, No. The look great, the packaging and shipping are great, even the giant strawberries are pretty good. The issue I had with them is that the chocolate is terrible. It's not real chocolate, it's the fake stuff made with hydrogenated oils. We ended up throwing half of them out. It is really a shame because these would be awesome otherwise.

We just got a big box for Valentine's day from my parents. Sigh.
This is one of the classic - "OH! What a sweet idea. You guys are the best grandparents ever! But if possible, please don't ever send them again, thanks!" They look stunning, and then take a bite and the berries are soggy and wet inside and the taste is nothing. Kids were thrilled--- and then not one of them ate more than a bite when all was said and done. 
Definitely a good idea that doesn't pan out.

because they were late or smething, we ended up with 2 boxes of a dozen each while my mil was staying with us. she gave one to my dd every day although I couldn't get through even one...

I kept hearing about Shari's Berries on the radio and other places and thought okay i will try them out. 1st they did not honor my product code for double berries "thought what the hell- order them anyway". So i ordered 6 "Gourmet" berries for Valentines day.
They arrived and were so small, and looked like i could have made them from the local grocery chain. Def not worth the 20$ plus tax. I advise get some from the grocery store dip them yourself, or get some from a chocolate store.

Do not waste your money. It arrived a day late. Roses come in wrapping. You have to make a huge mess just to unpack. Then you have to put the flower arrangement together yourself in the vase they send. Who wants to work for a bouquet flowers. NO ONE who is receiving them does. Just order an arrangement from a flower shop. She will appreciate it so much more. Not to mention strawberries are tasteless. Go to Godiva and get the good ones.

I ordered a package that included an additional delivery fee to have sent to My Mother Saturday May 13, to have on her most special day, Mother's Day. I became very well aware that they knew she did not receive her special gift on the 13th after an email that I received from them. I called and expressed my ultimate concern for the email I received stating the delivery date changed to Tuesday 05/16. I was shocked and concerned that my Mother would not have her gift on Mother’s Day. I was PROMISED by a service representative that it would be delivered overnight and received May 14, 2017. She gave her word!!!! I believed her and felt reassured that My Mother would receive the gift on time. I am fully aware that they knew that she DID NOT receive her gift on Mother's day as promised because she did not ! I feel cheated and lied to. 
 Shari's Berries lied to me. They deceived me and cheated My Mother out of her special gift that I was promised she would receive 05/14. Although I requested a delivery date again by replying to a letter sent by one of their reps. 05/15, I never received confirmation, then surprisingly the package arrived midday 05/15. The Flowers were wilted and far from revival. The chocolate covered strawberries and cheese cake are completely unrecognizable! What type of business would do this? I am completely insulted that Shari's Berries would consider this to be anywhere near acceptable. Nothing resembles what I paid for. Nothing resembles anything that anyone in their right mind would eat let alone enjoy. 

I received several scripted emails from several different customer sales representatives with weird names that don’t even seem real offering to resend the order or provide a credit coupon for the same value to redeem at another time. I chose the credit coupon each of the reps. I then received an email each time stating that the coupons were no longer available. This happened enough that I was just simply fed up. I finally asked that they re-send the package. I then received another email stating that the package I ordered was no longer available. This is an extremely unacceptable business practice. We are left with nothing! 
 This experience has destroyed any enjoyable surprise I had expected to be given to My Mother for her Special day. I am completely embarrassed and ashamed by this situation that Shari's Berries put me and my Mother in. I can’t imagine the feeling My Mother had when she opened the package!
 I have been cheated, deceived, manipulated, lied to, insulted and made embarrassed as well as ashamed ! 
 This type of business practice lacks integrity, honesty, trust and dependability. The service that I have received from Shari's Berries is unacceptable and is a disgrace to the service industry.

I have NEVER been treated like this!
